For over three decades, my world was anchored in the beautiful and crazy, fast-paced chaos of the West Coast music industry. Following a needed hiatus after the collapse of that industry and some exotic health issues, I returned to my ultimate creative roots—art. That journey eventually landed me here in my studio, slightly tucked away in the fabled energy and quiet expanse of the colorful Yucca Valley desert.

Within the realm of Ensueño Artes—which translates as "Daydream Arts"—I aspire to channel and share the hypnotic energy and colorful vivid hues of the high desert. For me, creating art isn't about making an academic or political statement. Not at all. We sometimes forget that we never get a single moment back in our lives, and we often seem to ignore the time we are given. To me, visual storytelling (and music) are essential necessities to decorate our time, our love, and our everyday lives.

I define my style as Lowbrow Frantic Surrealica. Heavily fueled by the raw energy of the 1960s psychedelic art and music scene, my work fuses raw multimedia elements with modern digital enhancement. What emerges is a collection of dreamlike landscapes and distorted scenes populated by vibrant colors, unusual characters, playful jesters, fractured puppets, and joyful skeletons.

Since I was a small child, I’ve loved staring at patterns and identifying faces in them—whether in walls, flowers, rocks, trees, or even dirt. That strange instinct still drives my artwork today. I find inspiration in watching everyday people interacting with their everyday world, and I enjoy trying to capture those fleeting expressions.

I invite you to lose yourself in the visual storytelling, open the door to an unusual world that we can share, and feel whatever the imagery decides to bring out within you. Consider it an internal collaborative discussion between all of us.

My creative footprint has evolved over a lifetime—stretching from playing music and written word to creating and shipping custom rock t-shirts to music fans worldwide. Today, that journey continues and has culminated in my fine art prints, canvas giclées, and illustrated book collections.

Throughout every evolution, my ultimate goal has always remained meaningful connection and accessibility. There have been too many times in my life where I loved a piece of art but I simply couldn't afford it. I want all art lovers to have the ability to bring my art into their homes at a reasonable price. I thoroughly enjoy creating these daydreams, and I am definitely honored to share a piece of my world with yours.
